VMAC Global Technology Inc. has launched its 2026 State of the Mobile Compressed Air Industry Survey, an annual research initiative that examines trends, priorities and operating conditions across mobile service fleets in North America.

The survey gathers input from fleet managers, service truck upfitters, equipment repair specialists, construction professionals and municipal infrastructure teams. According to VMAC, the study is intended to serve as a planning and benchmarking resource by collecting data on fleet composition, air compressor preferences, power systems, technology adoption and business outlooks.

“Each year the State of the Mobile Compressed Air Industry Survey becomes more valuable because it reflects the industry sentiment and identifies emerging trends,” said Tod Gilbert, president of VMAC. “Mobile compressed air remains the backbone of productivity for service vehicles, and the 2026 findings will give fleet operators and decision-makers the necessary information they need.”

The 2026 survey focuses on air systems used on service trucks, vans and specialty vehicles. Areas of study include equipment preferences, demand for reliable air power and how businesses are evaluating emerging technologies alongside established performance expectations.

“Understanding the real, on-the-ground priorities of mobile service fleets allows suppliers, upfitters and operators to innovate in ways that actually matter,” said Mike Pettigrew, VMAC marketing manager. “Whether it’s optimizing productivity, managing costs or assessing new power technologies, this year’s data helps paint a clearer picture of where the industry is headed.”

VMAC states that the survey continues its effort to provide data-driven insights that help fleets compare operations with industry peers and make informed decisions. Participants will receive an advance copy of the 2026 State of the Mobile Compressed Air Industry Report before it is released publicly.

The survey is now open online.
