Sunstate Expands Trench Safety Services With Trenchman Shoring Acquisition
Sunstate Equipment acquires Trenchman Shoring, expanding trench safety rental services in Washington and the Pacific Northwest.
Sunstate Equipment has acquired Trenchman Shoring, adding trench safety equipment locations in Olympia and Pasco, Washington, as the company continues to grow its footprint in the Pacific Northwest.
The acquisition strengthens Sunstate’s position in the trench shoring and excavation safety rental market in the greater Seattle region. Trenchman Shoring brings more than 25 years of experience supporting trench and excavation work for utility contractors, municipalities and civil infrastructure projects.
“We are excited to welcome Trenchman Shoring to the Sunstate family. This acquisition expands our trench shoring capabilities and strengthens our ability to support customers across the region with enhanced expertise, faster response times and a broader lineup of safe, reliable solutions,” said Norty Turner, Sunstate president and CEO.
Trenchman Shoring’s employees will remain with the business. The company will now have access to Sunstate’s larger branch network and centralized resources, including technology and customer support platforms.
“Joining Sunstate allows us to grow and expand without compromising what matters most—safety, service and our people,” said founder Brian Garlinghouse.
Sunstate, founded in 1977 and headquartered in Arizona, operates nationwide. Sumitomo Corp. acquired full ownership of the company in 2017.
