Sunstate Equipment Acquires JTB Rentals, Expanding Louisiana Footprint

Sunstate Equipment Co., LLC has acquired JTB Rentals, an equipment rental provider based in Calhoun, Louisiana, expanding its presence in north-central Louisiana and the broader Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas (Ark-La-Tex) region. The acquisition marks Sunstate’s third location in the state.

Located east of Shreveport, the Calhoun branch strengthens Sunstate’s ability to support customers along the Interstate 20 corridor. JTB Rentals customers will now have access to Sunstate’s expanded fleet and equipment offerings for general construction, trench and industrial projects, as well as support from Sunstate’s multi-state branch network.

Sunstate entered the Louisiana market in 2024 with branch openings in Baton Rouge and Lake Charles. With the addition of Calhoun and more than 25 branches in neighboring Texas, the company now offers contiguous coverage for construction and industrial rental customers across the Gulf Coast and into the Dallas–Fort Worth region.

JTB Rentals’ existing team will continue serving customers from the Calhoun location, supported by Sunstate’s broader operational resources.
