Elliott Equipment Company has expanded its leadership team with two new appointments aimed at supporting the company’s operational growth and product development efforts.

The Omaha-based manufacturer of truck-mounted aerial work platforms, digger derricks and cranes announced June 9 that Andrew Schumacher has joined the company as vice president of Nebraska operations, while Chad Barrett has been named director of product management.

According to the company, the additions are intended to support long-term investment in operational performance and product innovation while strengthening collaboration between Elliott and Stellar.

Schumacher will report to Stellar Chief Operating Officer Craig Shafer and oversee Elliott’s production, quality, safety and engineering functions. Elliott said Schumacher will be responsible for advancing operational performance across the organization, with the operations team reporting directly to him.

Schumacher brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in equipment manufacturing. Most recently, he served as general manager of Wayne Combustion Systems, a Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway company. His previous experience includes leadership roles focused on operations, engineering, lean manufacturing, team development and workplace safety.

“Andrew brings a strong combination of leadership and expertise that is aligned with our vision for the future,” said Shafer. “We’re excited to see the impact he’ll make on the organization as Elliott continues to grow.”

Barrett joins Elliott as director of product management and will oversee continued development of the company’s product portfolio. The company said he will also focus on integrating customer feedback and marketing insights into product development.

Barrett will report to Stellar Vice President of Supply Chain and Product Management Matt Schroeder. He brings more than 10 years of experience in engineering and product development in the utility equipment sector.

According to Elliott, Barrett’s experience working with end users and industry stakeholders will support efforts to address field challenges while advancing equipment safety, reliability and performance.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Chad to the team,” said Shafer. “His combination of engineering expertise and customer-focused mindset will help ensure the voice of the customer remains at the center of everything we do.”

Elliott said the appointments reflect the company’s continued investment in industry talent as it works to support customers, dealer partners and future growth initiatives.
