Donkey Forklifts Expands Northeast Dealer Network
Donkey Forklifts partners with Summit Handling Systems to expand sales and service coverage across the Northeast.
Donkey Forklifts has expanded its dealer network in the Northeast through a new partnership with Summit Handling Systems, increasing sales, service and support coverage across Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts.
The collaboration brings Donkey’s truck-mounted forklift lineup into Summit Handling Systems’ established equipment distribution and service network, which operates across six locations in the region.
“Summit Handling Systems has spent more than 50 years earning that trust through innovation, integrity and unmatched customer service,” said Bradley Holder, vice president of sales for Donkey Forklifts. “Their local support network and factory-trained technicians will give our customers the confidence that help is never far away.”
Summit Handling Systems, headquartered in Connecticut, has more than 50 service technicians supporting maintenance, repair and parts services for material handling and construction equipment.
The company said the addition of Donkey Forklifts strengthens its ability to support customers in delivery and material handling operations that require high-performance equipment.
“Summit Handling Systems is proud to join the growing Donkey herd and bring these innovative truck-mounted forklift solutions to customers across our market,” said Andy Pye, strategic growth vice president for Summit Handling Systems. “The Donkey product line and the company's Turnkey Solution capabilities align perfectly with our customers' increasing need for efficient, engineered delivery and material handling solutions. We look forward to representing such an innovative and customer-focused brand.”
Donkey Forklifts manufactures mechanical, hydrostatic and electric truck-mounted forklifts. The product lineup includes Burro Volt, described as the first all-electric, truck-carried walk-behind forklift made in America, and The Jack, a hydrostatic forklift.
The company noted the expansion supports its ongoing focus on combining equipment availability with local service support across its dealer network.
