Donkey Forklifts to Present New Equipment at IRE 2026
Donkey Forklifts will display The Jack hydrostatic forklift and Burro Volt electric walk-behind unit at the 2026 International Roofing Expo.
Donkey Forklifts will present two material-handling products at the 2026 International Roofing Expo (IRE) in Las Vegas, including The Jack hydrostatic truck-mounted forklift and the newly launched Burro Volt electric walk-behind forklift. The company will exhibit at booth 5259.
The Jack is a hydrostatic truck-mounted forklift built in Bay Springs, Mississippi, and designed for use in roofing and building materials delivery. It features a fixed-mast design and a standard 56-inch reach, allowing operators to place materials without repositioning the truck. According to the company, the design is aimed at improving stability and jobsite maneuverability in challenging terrain.
“The International Roofing Expo is the perfect stage to demonstrate how The Jack is redefining efficiency for the roofing industry,” said Bradley Holder, director of sales at Donkey Forklifts. “Roofing jobs often involve difficult terrain and long run drop points. With our anti-stall hydrostatic drive and tri-mode transmission, we’re giving operators the power to navigate those challenges safely and quickly.”
In addition to The Jack, Donkey Forklifts will highlight the Burro Volt, an all-electric, truck-mounted walk-behind forklift manufactured in the United States. The Burro Volt is designed to support zero-emission material handling and is intended for both indoor and outdoor delivery applications. The unit has a rated lift capacity of 3,000 pounds and incorporates a 48-volt lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery system.
According to Donkey Forklifts, the Burro Volt includes features such as a fixed mast with a 143-inch raised height, 56-inch reach and smart battery management system (BMS) technology with digital monitoring. Safety features include automatic power limitations at lower battery levels and an electric service brake.
“The delivery landscape is changing fast. Between the labor market and new environmental standards, distribution companies need equipment that can go where traditional engines can’t follow," said Bradley Holder, director of sales. "We didn't just build the Burro Volt to check a box; we built it to future-proof our customers' fleets. It’s an electric powerhouse that ensures they can say 'yes' to any job, regardless of local regulations.”
The Burro Volt is now available through Donkey Forklifts and its authorized dealer network. Both machines will be displayed during IRE 2026, which brings together roofing contractors, suppliers and equipment manufacturers from across North America.
