Arrowhead Winch Launches BRADEN UCB12 Utility Winch Bumper System
Arrowhead Winch introduces the BRADEN UCB12 utility winch bumper system for Class 4 service vehicles.
Arrowhead Winch's BRADEN UCB12 Utility Winch Bumper System, a new front-end winch solution designed for medium-duty, Class 4 service vehicles used in utility and field applications, was on display at EUFMC 2026.
Announced October 7, the BRADEN UCB12 combines a hydraulic utility winch with a built-in capstan extension intended to support multiple jobsite functions through a single system. According to Arrowhead Winch, the system is designed to help crews perform pulling, hoisting and recovery work while improving truck versatility.
The UCB12 delivers a rated line pull of 12,000 pounds and is based on the company’s TR Series planetary hydraulic winch design. Arrowhead said the system can be used for applications including conductor, fiber and communication line pulling, underground cable work, equipment hoisting and pole setting.
A three-position manual clutch allows operators to engage the drum, switch to freespool mode or activate the capstan. According to the company, the ability to independently operate the winch and capstan is intended to provide greater operational flexibility and safety on jobsites.
The bumper system includes a heavy-duty steel construction and features a removable bumper shell designed to improve maintenance access. Arrowhead said damaged shells can be replaced without requiring the entire system to be changed.
Additional available options include bolt-on chassis installation, cone racks, tow hooks, tie-downs, storage features, custom branding and paint finishes.
“The UCB12 is more than a winch — it’s a productivity tool designed for the real-world demands of utility crews,” said Paul Hiltenbeitel, director of sales at Arrowhead Winch. “By combining pulling, hoisting and recovery functions in one rugged system, it not only makes crews more efficient but also extends the value of every truck in the fleet.”
Arrowhead said the UCB12 is intended to support a variety of utility and service applications, including cable pulling, guy wire tensioning, vegetation management and equipment recovery.
