Yanmar Launches V7 Compact Wheel Loader

Yanmar Compact Equipment has introduced the V7 compact wheel loader to the North American market, filling the lineup gap between its V4-7 and V8 models. With a 47.6-horsepower engine and a 9,370-pound operating weight, the V7 offers high performance in a compact design suited for construction, landscaping, municipal work, snow removal and rental fleets.

The loader features a 0.92-cubic-yard standard bucket, with an optional light material bucket expanding capacity to more than one cubic yard. Its tier 4 final Yanmar engine provides a lifting capacity of 7,981 pound-force. ±40 degrees of articulation and ±10 degrees of oscillation allow the machine to maintain strong ground contact. The oscillation joint is centered in the loader for enhanced tractive force.

Designed with the operator in mind, the V7 offers a high-back heated seat with mechanical suspension and ergonomic armrests. The enclosed cab includes steel frame doors on both sides for improved visibility and ventilation, along with a front sun blind to reduce glare. An integrated rotating beacon, color display, Bluetooth radio and ergonomic joystick controls contribute to both comfort and ease of use.

Efficiency features include an 18.6 miles per hour travel speed for faster jobsite movement and bright LED lights for low-light operation. Hydraulic quick couplers allow fast attachment change-outs, while parallel kinematics help keep loads level during lifting, particularly useful when using pallet forks.

The V7’s design also focuses on transport and maneuverability. A low overall height of 98.4 inches, a low center of gravity and a compact footprint allow the machine to navigate tight spaces and reduce clearance concerns. These features also improve trailering and storage options.

Ease of maintenance is also a key focus. The V7 includes accessible service points and grease fittings. Yanmar provides maintenance kits for convenient replacement of common wear parts. Like all Yanmar equipment, the V7 comes with a 3-year/3,000-hour warranty.
