Xtellio Expands Telematics Across Jobsite
Xtellio launches a full jobsite telematics platform, giving construction firms greater data control and visibility across mixed equipment fleets.
Xtellio, a provider of data collection solutions for rental, construction, and utility operations, has announced a new platform that extends industrial telematics across the full jobsite. The platform unifies wired and wireless devices into a modular system, giving companies improved visibility and control of data from fleets, equipment and jobsite tools.
“Telematics originally gained traction in the construction industry in the early 2000s, focusing mainly on heavy equipment,” said Tom Valbak Aardestrup, CEO of Xtellio. “Today, we are pleased to offer a platform solution that moves that model forward, extending visibility across the jobsite environment and advancing data liberation through customer ownership and flexibility.”
The platform integrates Xtellio’s battery-powered Bluetooth Xenses sensors and Pro-Xentral wired devices. These devices capture information from both powered and non-powered assets, including excavators, skid steers, boom lifts, industrial heaters and auxiliary systems. Data is transmitted via Xtellio gateways, or “Xentrals,” to the cloud for analysis, monitoring and management.
Unlike traditional telematics, which often focus on engine diagnostics, Xtellio’s system captures a wider range of operational data. Open APIs allow companies to connect this information to existing business systems, giving them full ownership and flexibility over how the data is used.
“Organizations of any size who control their own data by structuring it across every asset category will be the ones that move faster, and operate with more efficiency,” Valbak said. “Our customers can easily build their own solutions, front ends and dashboards so they have full control. With AI changing the software space dramatically, it all boils down to the data. We see the Xtellio platform as the place from where the data will originate.”
The platform will debut at the American Rental Association (ARA) show in Orlando and at CONEXPO in Las Vegas, with availability across the Americas, Europe, Australia and New Zealand through LTE-M, NB-IoT or legacy 2G networks.
