Versatile Bucket Attachment Supports General Construction Tasks

Versatile bucket attachments support material handling, grading and cleanup tasks on general construction jobsites using skid-steer and loader equipment.

In general construction, skid-steer loader buckets play a central role in material handling, particularly on jobsites where space constraints limit the use of larger equipment. These buckets support a range of activities, including grading, site cleanup and handling loose or bulky materials in confined environments.

To address the need for a single attachment capable of handling multiple tasks, Versa Corp introduced the Versa Bucket, a clamshell-style bucket designed to support controlled gripping and material containment across general construction applications.

The Versa Bucket is available in multiple sizes to fit skid-steer loaders, tractor loaders and wheel loaders. Its heavy-duty steel jaw and gripping teeth allow operators to scrape, clamp and secure materials, helping contain loose debris during handling and transport.

The bucket is used to load, transport and discharge materials such as soil, gravel, sand, demolition debris and construction waste. It can also support shallow excavation, topsoil stripping and backfilling where high-precision digging is not required. In addition, the attachment is used for grading and leveling surfaces, spreading aggregate and smoothing fill material to establish rough final grades.

On active jobsites, the bucket is commonly used to stage materials, relocate stockpiles, clear access paths and maintain organized work areas. For outbound material handling, loaders equipped with buckets are used to fill trucks, roll-off containers and bins with waste or recyclable material.

The clamshell design allows material to be discharged without fully tipping the bucket forward, providing additional discharge height and allowing operators to visually confirm when the bucket is empty. This approach can reduce the need for shaking or repeated tipping during unloading.

By supporting multiple material-handling functions, multi-purpose bucket attachments are used to streamline jobsite operations and reduce the need for attachment changes during general construction work.
