Skyjack Introduces Electric Slab Booms and Jobsite Accessories
Skyjack announced the launch of two new battery-powered articulating slab booms along with several new jobsite accessories designed to enhance machine versatility, productivity and operator safety.
The announcements were made by Linamar Corporation’s Skyjack division on March 3, 2026.
SJ45 Electric Slab Booms
The SJ45 AJN and SJ45 ARJN slab booms provide a working height starting at 50 ft. 11 in. (15.52 m) and are designed for indoor and outdoor applications including maintenance, industrial work, renovation and event setup.
The SJ45 AJN offers an up-and-over reach of 25 ft. 7 in. (7.8 m) with a platform capacity of 500 lbs (227 kg) and a standard 4 ft. 8 in. (1.4 m) jib.
The SJ45 ARJN includes a rotating jib capable of 180° horizontal movement (ANSI) or 132° horizontal movement (CE), providing greater flexibility when positioning the platform.
“The SJ45 AJN and SJ45 ARJN include many of the quality-engineered design features users have come to expect from Skyjack,” said Charlie Patterson, Skyjack President. “Outstanding turning capability, combined with Skyjack’s exclusive SKYRISER and EASYDRIVE, allow for high-level functionality in a wide range of maintenance, industrial, renovation, and event applications where ground space is restricted.”
The machines are narrow enough to pass through standard double doors, have a stowed height of 6 ft. 6 in. (1.98 m) and weigh less than 16,000 lbs (7,258 kg), helping improve transportability.
A brushless electric drive system provides variable speed control and consistent torque, while a direct electric AC drive system with two-wheel motors operating in parallel improves traction and gradeability.
“Rental companies and major contractors face increasing demands for sustainability information. The SJ45 AJN and SJ45 ARJN’s ECO mark supports our customers by delivering environmental performance benefits and long-term sustainability,” said Corey Connolly, Skyjack’s Head of Product Management.
ACCESSORYZERS Accessories
Skyjack also introduced several new ACCESSORYZERS designed to expand machine capabilities and improve safety.

“Skyjack offers a full line of ACCESSORYZERS that improve machine versatility. Our manufacturer-approved accessories are designed to add functionality and convenience,” said Patterson. “The Skyjack team is committed to creating equipment that is designed for rental performance and that contributes to safe and effective jobsites.”
New accessories include a Panel Carrier designed for electric scissor lifts that can support sheet materials weighing up to 125 lbs (56.7 kg).
Skyjack also introduced LanyardGO, a safety device that detects when an operator connects their harness lanyard to the platform anchor point. The system uses LED indicators and audible alarms to confirm proper attachment and prevents machine operation until the lanyard is secured.
Additional accessories include SKYPROTECT and SKYPROTECT+, secondary guarding systems that detect overhead hazards using ultrasonic sensors.
Skyjack also expanded its XStep platform access system with the introduction of XStep32 for 32-in. wide electric scissor lifts and introduced a Multi-view Camera and Sensor System that provides up to 220° of visibility around the machine.
“Skyjack’s new ACCESSORYZERS are engineered with proven technology to help customers maximize utilization and add safety and functionality on a wide-range of jobsites,” said Connolly. “Whether it’s helping transport and move materials to heights or protecting operators and equipment with enhanced safety options, Skyjack’s innovative and reliable accessories are supporting and optimizing productivity.”
