Sinoboom has introduced upgraded versions of its AB18J Plus and AB18EJ Plus boom lifts, expanding capabilities for contractors working in varied and complex job site conditions.

The updated models build on the existing AB18J and AB18EJ platforms, incorporating changes aimed at improving working efficiency and operational flexibility. Both diesel and electric versions now offer a loading capacity of 551.16/749.57 pounds (250/340 kilograms) and a maximum platform height of  60.96 feet (18.58 meters). The machines also provide horizontal reach of 39.37 feet (12 meters) for the diesel model and 35.1 feet (10.7 meters) for the electric version, along with an up-and-over clearance of 26.18 feet (7.98 meters).

A 360-degree continuous rotation system is included to allow operators to position the platform without repositioning the base, supporting productivity in confined or complex work areas.

For the electric AB18EJ Plus, the battery has been upgraded to a 500-ampere-hour unit to extend runtime. An optional range extender is available to further increase operating time. Additional options include a 4WDx4WS configuration designed to improve off-road performance.

Standard features across both models include full-time active oscillation in stowed and lifting modes, 40% gradeability and a maximum working angle of 5 degrees.

The machines are built on the same platform as the AB22J Plus, with dimensions designed for transport by container or flatbed truck, which may simplify logistics for contractors and rental providers.

“The upgraded AB18J Plus and AB18EJ Plus now incorporate features that make life easier both for operators and rental owners. The high loading capacity and expanded working envelope make work more efficient, and the greater battery capacity of the AB18EJ Plus equals even greater reliability. Our optional extras provide additional flexibility for fleet operators, depending on their customer base’s requirements, meaning they can refine and streamline their inventory,” said Simon Sun, chief design engineer of Sinoboom R&D Center.

Sinoboom stated the upgraded models are intended for use across multiple global markets, including Europe, North America and Australasia.
