ScaffSource, a scaffold rental and sales provider and a Brock Group brand, has opened its first Florida location in Lakeland.

The company marked the opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on January 29, 2026, following a grand opening open house held the previous day. The new 4.5-acre facility, located at 3755 Maine Ave., will provide scaffolding, shoring, swing stages, material hoists and related equipment for industrial and construction markets.

The Lakeland location will also offer access to personal protective equipment (PPE), lumber, jobsite consumables and equipment rentals such as light plants and telehandlers.

“Opening in Lakeland puts ScaffSource at the center of one of the fastest-growing construction and industrial regions in the country,” said Shawn Mills, senior vice president of ScaffSource. “In addition to our scaffold and shoring solutions, the new location will give contractors direct access to PPE, lumber, jobsite consumables and equipment rentals like light plants and telehandlers — all in one place.”

Local officials welcomed the company’s expansion into Central Florida.

“It’s a great investment by ScaffSource in choosing Lakeland for its location to cover the state of Florida,” said Par Sahota, Lakeland Chamber of Commerce chair of the board (president, Boring Business Systems). “Thank you so much for being here and welcome to the community. We truly appreciate you adding to our community and of course our community will do everything in our power to make you successful.”

ScaffSource is headquartered in Houston, Texas, and now operates eight distribution yards across the United States. The company reports maintaining more than 17 million pieces of inventory supported by an operations and logistics team.

Founded in 1992 and rebranded as ScaffSource in 2022, the company expanded from a single-product ringlock scaffolding provider into a broader scaffold rental and sales business. The Lakeland facility is expected to employ between eight and twelve team members.

“My team and I look forward to supporting the local businesses and people,” said Justin Daugherty, Lakeland sales and operations manager. “We’ve already joined a few local networking groups and anticipate growing our presence, business partnerships and creating a positive economic impact.”

The Florida expansion is intended to improve service coverage across the state and increase operational efficiency.

“Numerous reports, including the U.S. Census, rank Central Florida as one of the fastest growing regions in the United States, and we agree,” Mills said. “By opening our first Florida location, we can serve customers throughout Florida more efficiently and increase their productivity through advanced offerings such as our 3D modeling services.”
