OZ Lifting to Show Non-Permanent Davit System at Chicago Build

OZ Lifting Products LLC will introduce its PCX System at Chicago Build, where the company will exhibit the non-permanent davit system at Booth 1342.

The PCX System is designed for rooftop material handling on solid concrete parapets. Its PCX Clamp secures to the top of a solid concrete parapet without drilling or permanent installation, creating an anchor point for the PCX 250 davit crane. The system has a lifting capacity of up to 250 pounds.

The clamp is designed as a removable, two-piece davit base. During installation, the two clamp halves are positioned around the parapet and secured by tightening the main threaded rod, which applies clamping force to the wall. The PCX 250 davit can then be installed into the clamp using the OZ Quick Connect System.

The system is designed to be set up, removed, and relocated between lift points. The PCX Clamp is U.S. patent-pending.

Steve Napieralski, president at OZ Lifting, said: “We're seeing growing demand for lifting solutions that provide both flexibility and practicality without requiring permanent modifications to a building. This is a complete engineered system designed specifically for solid concrete parapets, giving contractors and building owners a temporary lifting solution that can be deployed quickly and removed once the work is complete. Compared with permanently installed anchorage systems, it offers faster deployment, while remaining suitable for use across multiple lift locations."

Napieralski added: "Not every project calls for a permanent installation. Many building owners simply want a reliable lifting solution that supports maintenance or construction activities without altering the structure itself. Because the system is removable, it provides an efficient option for contractors working across multiple sites, while giving owners the flexibility they need without committing to permanent lifting installations."

The PCX System is adjustable for solid concrete parapet walls measuring from 6 to 18 inches. The steel system has an exterior-grade industrial powder coat and is manufactured in the U.S.

The extended-reach davit provides a maximum 62-inch reach and an 87-inch hook height while maintaining its maximum weight capacity in all positions. Four boom height adjustments, 360-degree rotation, or a single-position locking collar provide options for different lifting applications.

The system also includes a manual CE winch with an integrated Weston brake. The winch is removable to accommodate a drill drive adapter.

OZ Lifting said the PCX System is intended for applications involving temporary lifting from solid concrete parapets, including commercial buildings, hospitals, universities, hotels, data centers, government buildings, airports, and other construction and infrastructure projects.

Chicago Build takes place October 28 to 29 at McCormick Place. OZ Lifting will also display its Tele-Pro davit crane, Electric Series chain hoist, Builder’s Hoist, manual hoists, trolleys, and beam clamps.

The PCX System is also scheduled to be exhibited at IFMA World Workplace, November 18 to 20 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

OZ Lifting is accepting inquiries ahead of the product's official launch, with deliveries scheduled to begin shortly afterward.
