OZ Lifting Products LLC will officially open its new facility in Winona on Oct. 7 with a ribbon-cutting hosted by the Winona Area Chamber of Commerce and its Ambassadors.

Founded in 2004 with two employees, OZ Lifting now employs 30 full-time staff and supplies lifting products worldwide. The new 40,000-square-foot building, located on a five-acre lot, is four times larger than the company’s previous site and allows for future expansion. This marks the fourth time the company has relocated.

Christie Ransom, Chamber president and CEO, will present a commemorative plaque to Steve Napieralski, president of OZ Lifting, during the ceremony. Minnesota Senator Jeremy Miller, local business leaders, educators and dignitaries are also expected to attend.

“Our move to the new Innovation Drive facility has been a real step forward — and to formally open it among such esteemed company is a landmark moment in our history,” said Napieralski. “The building is four times larger than our previous space, which has given us room to grow and work more efficiently. Winona is a small community and it’s exciting that we will continue to be able to call it home.”

Public tours will begin at noon, following a morning program for invited guests. Visitors will see demonstrations of davit cranes, hoists, trolleys, clamps and winches, including the company’s latest innovations such as the Tele-Pro davit crane and the lightweight Alumi-Lite davit.

The facility will also feature a dedicated live-lift testing area, product testing stand and monorail system for fall protection.
