Multiquip Inc. has announced the retirement of Rich Sibrel, vice president of customer support, following a 25-year career with the company and nearly five decades in the equipment industry.

Sibrel's career in equipment began in 1977 at American Rental, a rental store in Casper, Wyoming, owned by his mother. After completing college, he moved to Arizona and managed stores for rental companies in the Phoenix area.

He joined Multiquip in October 1993 as a member of the company's field sales team, covering the Rocky Mountain region. During his first tenure with the company, he advanced to regional sales manager and later compaction division sales manager before leaving Multiquip in 2003.

Sibrel returned to Multiquip in 2010 in a senior sales management role and was promoted to vice president in 2019.

During his second stint with the company, he led several customer support initiatives, including the development of service and maintenance kits as well as the ICON and ServicePlus programs. According to Multiquip, those efforts helped strengthen the company's customer service and after-sales support operations.

The company said Sibrel's contributions played a significant role in Multiquip's growth and noted that he is well respected throughout the equipment and tool rental industries.

Multiquip thanked Sibrel for his years of service and wished him well in retirement.
