Maxam Tire Adds 50/65R51 Size to MS501 MineXtra Lineup

Maxam Tire has expanded its MS501 MineXtra tire lineup with the introduction of a new 50/65R51 size designed for large wheel loaders operating in mining and quarry environments.

The new tire extends the MS501 family to support larger equipment used in severe L5 applications, where durability and resistance to wear and damage are critical.

According to Maxam, the MS501 features an extra-deep open L5 tread pattern with staggered tread blocks designed to improve wear life, traction, and damage resistance. The tire also includes a reinforced bead, shoulder, and sidewall package, along with the company's cut- and tear-resistant compound to help reduce downtime in high-impact loading applications.

The tire is intended for use in surface mining, hard rock quarries, and other severe-service environments where equipment productivity is a priority.

The new size expands the existing MS501 MineXtra lineup, giving operators another option for large wheel loaders working in demanding off-road applications. According to the company, the tire is engineered to provide stability and durability while withstanding the challenging conditions commonly found in mining and quarry operations.
