Manitou has launched five large-frame machines, including three skid steers and two compact track loaders (CTLs), with rated operating capacities ranging from 3,250 to 3,600 pounds. The models introduce a new industrial redesign and performance capabilities that compete with the largest machines in their class.

The lineup includes the 3250 V, 3350 V and 3600 V skid steers, and the 3350 VT and 3600 VT CTLs. Horsepower ranges from 72 to 114, and all models feature vertical lift designs optimized for truck loading and material placement. Optional counterweights can increase operating capacity to 3,800 pounds.

Nathan Ryan, global product manager for skid steers and CTLs at Manitou, said demand for high-capacity compact machines continues to rise.

“The demand for larger skids steers and CTLs continues to grow — and it’s preferred to add that power and capacity in the footprint of a compact machine that’s still easy to transport and is familiar to operators versus adding a larger piece of construction equipment in many applications,” Ryan said.

The machines offer breakout forces over 10,000 pounds, hydraulic horsepower up to 82 with boost and both standard and high-flow auxiliary hydraulics for attachment use. Ryan added that the redesign makes them suitable for high-demand attachments such as mulchers, cold planers and brush cutters.

Additional features include Manitou’s IdealTrax automatic track-tensioning system, redesigned lift arms for improved visibility and a 7-inch in-cab display with keyless start and smart throttle. Each unit is also equipped with LED lighting packages, optional rearview cameras and Manitou’s Connected Machine technology for remote monitoring and fleet management.

Ilmars Nartish, vice president of Manitou North America, said the launch reflects a focus on supporting contractors and rental companies.

“These five new models represent the best of Manitou global innovation matched with North American craftsmanship — from an engineering and design team that has built skid steers and CTLs in South Dakota for more than 50 years,” Nartish said.

The new large-frame models are part of Manitou’s effort to expand its full-line fleet offering for construction, agriculture and rental markets.
