Manitou Adds 131-Foot MRT 4080 Telehandler
Manitou's MRT 4080 rotating telehandler reaches 131 feet 3 inches, with an 8,000-kg capacity and 88-foot maximum outreach.
Manitou Group has introduced the MRT 4080, a new rotating telehandler with a five-section boom and the highest lifting height in the company’s current MRT Vision+ “High Lift” offering.
The MRT 4080 reaches 131 feet, 3 inches, or 40 meters, which is 17 feet higher than the previous MRT 3570 model. It has a maximum lifting capacity of 17,630 pounds, or 8,000 kilograms, and a maximum outreach of 88 feet.
The machine is designed to operate as a telehandler, mobile crane, and aerial work platform. Manitou said adjustable stabilization and ground clearance allow setup on restricted or all-terrain worksites.
The Manitou Telescopic Boom Management system uses hydraulic and electronic controls to independently and automatically control the boom sections.
The MRT 4080 also has 360-degree turret rotation and cab visibility designed to allow operators to perform work without repositioning the machine.
The machine is powered by a 155-kilowatt, or 211-horsepower, Yanmar Stage V engine. A standard Stop and Start function shuts down the engine and associated hour meter when the machine is idling without hydraulic activity or movement, based on a time setting. The system provides a fast restart when the operator interacts with the joystick or throttle pedal.
The Manitou Safety System provides load indication and limitation. Other features include four-sided chassis floor access and stabilization for rough terrain.
The Manitou E-RECO attachment recognition system automatically sets load charts and includes a remote control that displays load moment limits while the operator is outside the cab.
The Hydrostatic CVT Transmission adjusts and limits travel speed based on the attachment and live load weight.
Available attachments include an extension jib with winch, floating fork carriage, variable speed winch, standard winch, and a slewing extendible platform with winch.
