Mack Trucks introduced two new technologies designed to improve safety, visibility and vehicle integration at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026: CommandView and BodyLink IV.

The systems were announced during the show in Las Vegas.

CommandView

CommandView is a situational awareness system designed to improve maneuverability and visibility around vocational trucks operating in busy jobsites, urban corridors and loading areas. The system will be available for order for the Mack Granite model beginning in late 2027.

“Mack customers told us about the many challenges they face when on a jobsite, whether they’re blind spot issues or just maneuvering around other vehicles and objects,” said Nicole Portello, senior vice president and Chief Digital Officer of Mack Trucks. “Every job site comes with a different set of challenges. We listened to customer input, and we’re now delivering technology that helps improve safety and productivity through CommandView – setting the stage for what’s next in connected vehicle technology.”

The system combines multiple camera feeds into a single 360-degree view that helps drivers monitor areas around the truck. Side-view cameras activated by turn signals provide additional visibility when turning or changing lanes.

CommandView can also provide alerts when objects or people are detected within certain ranges and stores event-based video recordings in the cloud.

Mack piloted the system with building materials provider CRH in early 2025.

“Safety is the No. 1 priority at CRH,” said Sam Dougherty, fleet manager of the Mid-South Region’s Architectural Product Group. “When we want to innovate in safety, we want it to actually make a difference.

“We want impactful safety measures. Any tool that we can give our drivers to be more safe, that’s a win. Mack has been the vocational truck of choice. It’s more than just selling us a truck. We rely on them to keep our fleet going.”

BodyLink IV

Mack also introduced BodyLink IV, a chassis-to-body electrical integration system designed for vocational truck applications.

“BodyLink IV is designed to make body installation simpler, safer and faster for body builders and fleet technicians,” said Tim Wrinkle, Mack vice president of vocational and medium-duty products. “When our customers save time, they save money, so knowing this we engineered this enhanced system.”

The system includes dedicated connectors, programmable switches, programmable connector pin outs, hardwired switches, two-way communication through BB-CAN and customizable body information within the instrument cluster.

“BodyLink IV offers more flexibility and deeper control,” said Alex Lee, Mack senior product manager for vocational and medium duty. “Technicians can quickly check and customize settings, set up custom safety parameters and create templates that keep every truck in a fleet consistent. It’s easy to use and built to keep trucks reliably working.”
