Ledwell is marking 80 years of manufacturing in 2026, highlighting its long-standing role in producing equipment for industries including construction, transportation, agriculture and equipment rental.

The company was founded in 1946 in Texarkana, Texas, where it began as a small operation building livestock racks. Over time, it expanded into the production of custom truck bodies and trailers and remains a family-owned business based in the same region.

Ledwell’s equipment is used across a range of applications, including rental fleets, farm operations, hauling and service work. The company manufactures equipment such as dump trucks, feed trailers and vacuum trucks, designed for use in demanding conditions.

According to the company, more than 85% of its parts are fabricated in-house, and all products are manufactured in Texas. Its operations now cover 91 acres across two facilities, supporting customers across the United States and other markets.

The company states that its manufacturing approach focuses on engineering, production control and delivering equipment for industries that require durable and reliable machinery. As it reaches the 80-year milestone, Ledwell continues to operate from its Texas base, supplying equipment to multiple sectors that rely on truck bodies and trailers.
