Kubota Starts SVL75-3 Production in Kansas

Kubota North America has begun production of the SVL75-3 compact track loader at Great Plains Manufacturing in Salina, Kansas, expanding the company's construction equipment manufacturing operations at the facility.

The first SVL75-3 came off the production line during an Aug. 18 celebration event. The compact track loader will be assembled on the same line as the SVL65-2 through a mixed-model manufacturing process.

The expansion is intended to increase production capacity, add jobs, and expand Kubota's manufacturing footprint in Kansas. The company said the investment also supports its efforts to bring manufacturing operations closer to customers and dealers and strengthen its U.S. and Canadian supply chain.

The Salina operation has become part of Kubota's broader construction equipment manufacturing and development footprint. Construction machinery attachment development began there in 2016, followed by the establishment of the Construction Equipment Research and Development North America facility in 2021.

Kubota has announced more than $300 million in construction equipment infrastructure investments in Salina in recent years.

Earlier in 2026, Kubota also announced the groundbreaking of a compact construction equipment test center in Salina. The facility is intended to support North American equipment design and engineering through performance, durability, and reliability testing that replicates real-world construction applications.

North America is the world's largest market for compact construction equipment, according to Kubota. The company said it remains committed to expanding manufacturing operations in Salina and in north Georgia, where Kubota Manufacturing of America is headquartered and operates facilities in Gainesville and Jefferson.

The SVL75-3 is identified by Kubota as the "#1-selling compact track loader in the USA," based on EDA/UCC data from Jan. 1, 2021, through Dec. 31, 2025, for sales of new compact track loaders in the United States.
