Inspeq Launches Real-Time AI Inspection Tool

Krank Limited has introduced AI-Assisted Inspections for its Inspeq platform, allowing equipment inspectors to create and update inspection reports while they work.

The feature uses AI to complete report fields, organize supporting evidence, and generate structured reports in real time. Inspectors can use voice commands to dictate observations while capturing photographs and video as part of the same inspection process.

The system is designed to eliminate the need to complete a separate reporting process after an inspection, making inspection information available as the work is completed.

As inspectors enter information, Inspeq’s AI updates the corresponding report and links photographs and video to inspection items. The system also identifies missing information before the inspection is finished.

Real-time responses show inspectors which fields have been completed, record actions as they occur, and identify information that still needs to be provided.

The feature uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to extract serial numbers, engine numbers, makes, and models from equipment identification plates. Inspectors can modify report fields as new findings emerge, and multi-language voice support allows the hands-free workflow to be completed in the inspector’s preferred language.

Krank’s internal studies found that AI-Assisted Inspections can reduce inspection completion time by up to 45%, improve field-level accuracy by 32%, and eliminate at least 40% of manual data entry through AI-assisted field completion and automation.

The feature connects inspections and related information with assets, sites, work orders, corrective tasks, and maintenance records within the Inspeq platform.

The company said the capability can support organizations managing large equipment fleets across multiple locations, including construction, mining, equipment rental, and manufacturing operations. It also can be used by teams working in remote or geographically dispersed locations, where delays between inspections and reporting can slow the flow of information.
