GripEdge Releases Low-Profile Driver Ratchet for Confined Jobsite Applications
GripEdge launches a low-profile flex head ratchet designed for construction, industrial and maintenance professionals.
GripEdge Tools has announced the release of its 1/4-inch Drive Standard Flex Head 7/16 Hex Low Profile Dual Action Driver Ratchet (Part No. DFRA6572), a hand tool developed for professionals working in confined or difficult-to-access areas.
Designed for applications including industrial maintenance, automotive work, aerospace and precision fabrication, the ratchet features a compact 6.5-inch design and is manufactured from chrome molybdenum (Cr-Mo) steel.
The DFRA6572 includes a 72-tooth ratchet head that operates with a 5-degree swing arc, allowing users to work in areas with limited clearance. A reversible switch enables direction changes without repositioning the tool.
The flex head pivots from 0 to 180 degrees, providing additional access to fasteners while allowing operators to maintain a more ergonomic working position.
GripEdge also incorporated a proprietary pass-through retention cavity that is designed for use with GripEdge Dual Action Drivers. According to the company, this configuration reduces overall tool height and increases clearance when working in restricted spaces.
"The DFRA6572 represents everything GripEdge stands for — solving real problems that professionals face every day on the job," said Jared Kukucka, director of sales at Grip Tooling Technologies. "When you're working in a tight engine bay or a confined aerospace assembly, every millimeter matters. This ratchet was built specifically for those moments."
The ratchet is designed to be maintained rather than replaced, with replaceable gear assemblies, exposed fastener points and repair kits available for field servicing.
GripEdge lists the tool's MSRP at $79.99 and said it is available through authorized distributors and directly from the company.
