Fleetio, John Deere Integration Targets Downtime Reduction
Fleetio’s John Deere integration helps construction fleets reduce downtime with real-time equipment health data and automated maintenance tools.
Fleetio has announced an integration with John Deere Operations Center, designed to help construction fleets reduce equipment downtime and improve maintenance planning.
By connecting John Deere’s telematics and equipment health data directly into Fleetio’s platform, the integration allows fleet managers to anticipate problems earlier, streamline service scheduling and limit costly project delays.
“Fleetio is quickly becoming an instrumental part of our fleet maintenance operations, namely by offering a broad range of solutions that fit our business needs,” said Brian Bailey, fleet equipment manager at Duracap Asphalt Paving Contractors. “The John Deere Operations Center integration is a value-added service for construction fleets, as well as agricultural and forestry fleets. This integration allows further automation, thus improving manual workflow processes by importing relevant data, such as Hour Meter, Location, Utilization, Fault Codes, etc., into a central hub with other existing integrations already functional today.”
The new features build on Fleetio’s heavy equipment capabilities, including customizable service tasks and templates that simplify preventive maintenance. Fleet managers can also use geospatial mapping to track equipment across multiple job sites, helping ensure machines are available when needed.
According to Fleetio, most fleets lack fully scheduled service programs and rely on reactive maintenance. By automating reminders and integrating real-time data, the company says the new system can extend asset life and improve equipment utilization in construction environments.
