Engineered Rigging has expanded its fleet of Foxtrot robotic dollies to support increasing demand for machinery moving and heavy-load transport inside industrial facilities.

The company announced on June 11 that it has expanded its partnership with Foxtrot Industriel and now offers five robotic dolly models for rental or purchase. The expansion comes as industrial construction activity in the United States continues to grow, driven by projects such as data centers, warehouses, manufacturing facilities and renewable energy plants.

According to the release, industrial facilities increasingly require equipment capable of moving heavy machinery indoors during both construction and routine plant operations and maintenance.

Foxtrot’s motorized skates are designed for indoor applications where forklifts may not be practical. The battery-operated, remote-controlled units are built to navigate confined workspaces, including narrow aisles, corridors and crowded pathways common in industrial environments.

Engineered Rigging added the Foxtrot SOLO 20 powered skate to its fleet in December and has since expanded its offering to include additional models with load capacities ranging from 10 to 60 tons.

“Meeting the needs of our clients is always priority number one,” stated Mike Beres, vice president of Engineered Rigging. “By combining the high-tech features of Foxtrot’s robotic dollies with Engineered Rigging’s machinery moving expertise, we are able to help clients meet the rigorous demands of a modern industrial plant.”

The expanded lineup includes the compact SOLO 10, which handles loads up to 10 tons and is designed for fast deployment in tight spaces. The SOLO 20, the model that launched Foxtrot’s robotic skate line, supports loads up to 20 tons and can travel at speeds up to 26 feet per minute.

The BRIDGE 40 attachment allows operators to double the SOLO 20’s capacity to 40 tons without tools. For heavier applications, the SOLO 60 is designed to handle loads up to 60 tons and includes an integrated brake and slope-handling capability for industrial environments.

Engineered Rigging also added the TANGO model, which is designed for applications requiring both vertical and lateral movement. According to the company, the unit can lift loads up to 10 tons and support lateral movement for loads up to 20 tons.

The company said its heavy lift and specialized transport teams work with customers to assess site conditions, operational requirements and equipment needs before making recommendations. Training and technical support are also available for rental and purchasing customers.
