Contractors looking to reduce equipment downtime and improve performance can now enroll in a specialized maintenance data training program from the American Reliability & Maintenance Institute (ARMI).

The Certified Maintenance Data Analyst (CMDA) course will be offered June 24–27 in Oklahoma City and is designed for anyone responsible for maintaining fleets, machinery or shop assets.

“Most teams collect mountains of maintenance data but don’t know how to actually use it,” said Justin Smith, ARMI co-founder. “The CMDA program shows you how to connect the dots and uncover what’s working, what’s wasting time and how to fix it.”

Participants will learn to work with maintenance metrics like mean time between failures and repair time, create data reports and adjust preventive maintenance plans for more efficient operations.

“This course and certification were designed with real teams in mind,” said Dr. John Ross. “Students walk away with tools they can start using immediately to improve uptime and planning.”
