CONEXPO Partners with AFSP to Support Workforce Well-Being
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 partners with AFSP to raise funds and awareness for suicide prevention in the construction workforce.
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 strengthened its focus on workforce mental health through a partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), raising over $112,000 to fund suicide prevention initiatives.
Throughout the event, educational programming, a dedicated AFSP booth and a Wellness Lounge highlighted mental health and well-being in construction. Christine Yu Moutier of AFSP spoke on the Ground Breakers Stage about the importance of creating supportive workplaces and ensuring workers have access to mental health resources.
Attendees engaged with AFSP representatives to learn about suicide prevention programs and ways companies can support mental health initiatives in their organizations. The Wellness Lounge offered a quiet space for reflection and access to information for the construction workforce.
“The construction industry is built on people, and supporting their well-being is essential to the future of our workforce,” said Dana Wuesthoff, show director for CONEXPO-CON/AGG. “Our partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention helped bring important conversations about mental health to the forefront while also providing meaningful resources for the men and women who power this industry every day.”
Funds raised will support AFSP’s research, education, advocacy and assistance for those affected by suicide. CONEXPO-CON/AGG, North America’s largest construction tradeshow, will return to Las Vegas in 2029.
