Brickeye Unveils BuildersRiskIQ for Insurance and Risk Transparency

The platform uses IoT to lower water damage risk and insurance costs in construction projects.

Brickeye, a provider of construction IoT (Internet of Things) and job site risk mitigation technology services, has launched BuildersRiskIQ, a new IoT-enabled dashboard designed to improve risk management on construction projects and streamline builders risk insurance coverage.

BuildersRiskIQ gives insureds, brokers and underwriters early visibility into IoT-based water mitigation plans, starting at the pre-construction and insurance quoting phase. The platform allows stakeholders to scope, verify and share real-time loss control strategies as part of the builders risk placement process.

The dashboard builds on Brickeye’s existing IoT risk mitigation services and is backed by a Certificate of Protection. By presenting verified loss control plans to insurers, project stakeholders can lower water loss deductibles by as much as 50%, potentially reducing overall insurance costs.

BuildersRiskIQ provides benefits across the construction insurance process. Insureds gain the ability to demonstrate verified risk mitigation plans. Brokers can strengthen insurance submissions, while underwriters gain access to detailed IoT controls that support risk assessment and underwriting decisions.
