Bravi Platforms, the Italian manufacturer of low-level access platforms, has introduced the Residential 170, a platform specifically designed for residential construction sites. The compact unit aims to replace ladders and scaffolding for indoor projects, offering safer and more efficient access for workers.

“The first platform for the residential sector. Designed to replace everything else,” said the company, highlighting its potential to reduce accident risks associated with traditional equipment. With a platform height of 1.7 meters (5 feet, 7 inches) and a working height of 3.7 meters (12 feet, 2 inches), the Residential 170 is just 66 centimeters (26.2 inches) wide and weighs 360 kilograms (794 pounds). Its small footprint makes it suitable for narrow hallways, bathrooms and storage rooms.

The platform can operate in push-around mode for areas where electric drive is not feasible, allowing rapid repositioning on delicate floors without damage. European safety data suggest that the device could reduce ladder-related accidents by as much as 75% and cut repetitive-stress injuries by 50%.

“These innovations reflect our ongoing commitment to redefining efficiency and safety standards for working at height,” said Pierino Bravi, CEO of Bravi Platforms. The Residential 170 is designed to improve productivity, minimize operational interruptions and support the well-being of construction workers on residential jobsites.
