Bobcat North Dakota Open Marks 62nd Tournament

The 62nd annual Bobcat North Dakota Open concluded August 22 at Rose Creek Golf Course in Fargo, North Dakota, bringing regional professional and amateur golfers together while continuing the tournament’s fundraising efforts for The Village Family Service Center.

Since 1984, the tournament has raised more than $1.3 million for The Village, a local nonprofit that provides counseling, addiction recovery, mentoring, and other services to children and families throughout the region.

“When people come together with a shared purpose, they can accomplish more,” said Brad Claus, senior vice president, construction products, Bobcat Company. “The Bobcat North Dakota Open continues to make a meaningful difference by supporting The Village and the important services it provides to individuals and families across our region.”

The Bobcat North Dakota Open is part of the Dakotas Tour, a developmental tour that has served as a starting point for professional golfers looking to sharpen their games before pursuing opportunities on the PGA, Korn Ferry, or Champions tours.

The 2026 tournament also marked the beginning of a new three-year partnership between the Dakotas Tour and Asher Golf Tour.

Josh McCollum of Nashville, Tennessee, won the professional division for his first professional tournament victory of the summer. Marco Trstenjak of Winnipeg, Canada, and Williams Adams of Odessa, Texas, tied for second at 18-under par.

Adams also set a new Rose Creek course record with a score of 59 on Friday.

Former professional golfer and Fargo North graduate Josh Persons won the amateur division with a final score of 15-under 195. Persons shot 6-under par in the final round to tie for sixth overall.

Scott Johnson won the senior division, while Rick Samson won the super senior division.

The tournament also included community events, including the Pro Junior Shoot Out and Big Brothers Big Sisters Golf Clinic, which brought youth and mentors together through golf.

The tournament concluded Saturday, August 22, with an awards presentation recognizing the top finishers.

Bobcat Company has served as the tournament's lead corporate sponsor since 1984. The tournament's proceeds support The Village Family Service Center and its services for individuals and families throughout the region.

Bobcat Company served as the tournament's title sponsor in 2026, with Bell Bank as co-sponsor. Other major sponsors included D-S Beverages, Fusable, Lapham-Hickey Steel Corp., Lenker Consulting, Nodak Insurance-Kelly Howe agent, and Old National Bank.
