ALLU Introduces Concrete Bucket for On-Site Demolition Material Processing
ALLU introduces a concrete bucket that crushes and screens demolition materials directly on-site with excavators.
ALLU has introduced the ALLU Concrete Bucket, a new excavator attachment designed to crush and screen pulverized demolition concrete directly at the demolition site. The Finland-based manufacturer said the attachment allows contractors to process materials where they are generated, reducing material transportation while supporting more efficient recovery of reusable aggregates.
The attachment is designed to help contractors process common demolition materials, including pulverized and reinforced concrete, brick, asphalt fragments, demolition rubble and other mixed construction materials. By performing crushing and screening on-site, contractors can reduce hauling requirements, limit equipment movements and streamline demolition workflows, particularly on urban jobsites or projects with limited space.
Designed for excavators in the 25- to 45-ton operating class, the ALLU Concrete Bucket accepts feed material up to 300 millimeters (11 inches) and produces finished aggregate in either 0 to 50 millimeters (0 to 2 inches) or 0 to 100 millimeters (0 to 4 inches) sizes, depending on the selected counter blade configuration. Under suitable operating conditions, the attachment can process up to 100 tons of material per hour, according to the company.
"Our goal has always been to develop equipment that enables customers to process materials where the work is taking place," said Peter Grönholm, chief executive officer of ALLU Finland. "The ALLU Concrete Bucket continues that commitment by helping contractors improve efficiency, reduce unnecessary material handling and recover valuable materials directly on-site."
Unlike conventional jaw crusher systems, the attachment uses rotating drums equipped with replaceable carbide picks and a counter blade structure to crush and screen material continuously. According to ALLU, the design promotes consistent material flow while producing reusable aggregate for recycling, backfilling, road construction and other civil engineering applications.
The company said the attachment is engineered to process reinforced concrete, allowing reinforcing steel and rebar to pass through or be separated during operation. This helps reduce interruptions when processing demolition materials containing steel contamination.
Replaceable wear components are designed to simplify routine maintenance at the jobsite, helping minimize downtime. Compatible excavators can also use ALLU's Drain Line Eliminator hydraulic technology to simplify installation.
Field testing has evaluated the attachment under demolition conditions.
"We have been pleased with the production capacity and overall handling characteristics," said Jonathan Bjon, chief executive officer of Ursa Demolition. "The attachment has performed well in our demolition applications and has proven capable of handling demanding material processing tasks efficiently."
ALLU said the attachment was developed as demand grows for equipment that supports material recovery and on-site recycling. Producing reusable aggregate at the demolition site can reduce transportation requirements, lower fuel consumption associated with hauling materials and decrease reliance on off-site crushing facilities.

The ALLU Concrete Bucket combines crushing and screening functions into a single attachment, providing contractors with an option for processing demolition materials using the excavator already operating on the jobsite.
