Orlando Record-Breaker Reflects Momentum

With gross auction sales of over US$113 million, the record-breaking Orlando auction on February 21 - 25, 2006 was a clear sign of the belief in Ritchie Bros. unreserved auctions.

“A successful auction like this certainly sends a very positive signal to the equipment market,” said Gary Seybold, Ritchie Bros. Florida Regional Manager in a news release. “The size of the auction reflects the momentum we have been enjoying at our auction sites around the world.”

The auction attracted more than 5,125 registered bidders from 56 countries and all 50 U.S. states to bid on over 5,000 truck and equipment items.

More than 80% of purchases went to buyers from outside Florida.

A record 1,306 people registered to bid online at the auction with the rbauctionBid-Live live internet bidding service, accounting for purchases of over US$19 million worth of trucks and equipment items.
