Giuffre Bros. Cranes Loans Boom Trucks to American Cancer Society for Awareness Event

Giuffre Bros. Cranes in Milwaukee joined radio station WKTI and the American Cancer Society in the first "Bras for a Cause" event in October, which was Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in women. According to the American Cancer Society, one in eight women will develop some form of breast cancer in her lifetime.

The bras were hooked together to form streamers that were strung on a clothesline between two Giuffre Bros. boom trucks in the parking lot of the Pettit Ice Arena next to a heavily traveled freeway and just 10 minutes from Downtown. Following the attention-getting display, a local dry-cleaner laundered the bras to prepare them for distribution to women's shelters throughout the greater Milwaukee area.

Headquartered in Milwaukee, Giuffre Bros. also has sales and rental operations in Chicago, Salt Lake City, Phoenix and Palm Beach.

Giuffre Bros. Cranes of Milwaukee provided truck-mounted cranes, commonly called boom trucks, for suspending a clothesline laden with bras donated during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Over 1,000 new and slightly used bras were collected, dry cleaned and donated to women's shelters in the Milwaukee area. Shown here, Giuffre boom truck models 3470 and 5092 display the undergarments in the parking lot of Milwaukee's Pettit Ice Center.

Pumpkin Goes 'Boom' from Giuffre Boom Truck

Pumpkin Goes 'Boom' from Giuffre Boom TruckA Giuffre Bros. boom truck sprung into action in October for the annual pumpkin drop in the parking lot of a Milwaukee-area Sam's Club.

Children entered a contest to guess the correct weight of a pumpkin donated by a local farm. A Giuffre Humpty Dumper attached to a Terex 5092 boom truck hoisted the pumpkin 90 feet in the air. A group of 75 watched and waited in anticipation for the countdown, which ended with the winning contestant pulling the lever, releasing the 350-pound pumpkin. It plummeted to earth, its descent ending in a resounding thud.

Giuffre Bros. Cranes provides the crane at no charge for this much-anticipated yearly family event.

Headquartered in Milwaukee, Giuffre Bros. also has sales and rental operations in Chicago, Salt Lake City, Phoenix and Palm Beach.
